Snap… I’m not looking for pretty pictures… January 25, 2007

I really don’t like this new fashion for Snap previews.

What’s the value? I can see what the linked web page looks like? But I’m clicking for content not eye candy (from blogs in any case), and those pop ups are driving me mad.

I agree, I have all kinds of browser tech to avoid popups, I don’t need some damn thing on my screen every time I mouse over a link.

Valid rant Mr. Murphy, they’re a nice demonstration of what’s possible in a browser but for general web browsing they make the experience more rather than less cumbersome.
