If you’re using Twitter, then you may have got bored reading the web page updates and downloaded a little desktop application or applet for keeping in touch. (I have).
One problem is that it’s yet another application.
So here’s an alternative for anyone using Outlook.
I stumbled across a little Twitter add-in that delivers twits directly into a folder in Outlook where you can read. reply etc. It even has statistics!
It’s called OutTwit, you can find out more and download it from here.

Absolutely brilliant. The exact Twitter tool I have wanted. Thank you!
This is genius – well found and thank you for sharing.
I hope you don’t mind I think I will have to blog about this.
Thanks again.

Ahh, i hadent seen this, thanks. I use Twitter but have been frustrated as yet another thing to manage. This solves it inside outlook since i have it open 24×7. I have installed a dozen great plugins of which my two favorites are Xobni (i’m sure you know that one) and the very simple improvement to Outlooks follow-up and reminders called Outlook Trackit.
that’s a good advice..to test immediately..thanks
After using this for a week or so, I think it’s a nice add-on. The only potential downside is the stress of see all those unread messages
Thanks
Tom
